Koppe Bridge Bar & Grill Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Awesome burger, probably the best in College Station. You will have to wait a bit after you order but it is usually worth it. Only complaint is when I call ahead I have to give them a full credit card number over the phone even if I'm paying cash. They must have problems with people calling and not picking up their order, but this system seems like it punishes everyone.

I've read that there is a beauty in simplicity, and when you eat a burger in Koppe Bridge Bar & Grill you get to realize this is true. Don't expect anything fancy or higher end, there is none. Is just a burger place, that serves really really good old fashioned burgers, and I loved it. I got the chance to eat some fried mushrooms and they were amazing. Crispy on the outside and nice, warm and soft in the inside. For dinner, I ordered the 1/4 pound traditional burger. The burger in itself looks simple, but you can notice the quality of the meat with your first bite, specially when you have all the juices coming down your arm. In summary, if you just want a burger, Koppe Bridge is your place.

Koppe Bridge is a straight-up place -- burgers, chicken-fried steak, fried catfish, grilled cheese (OK, they did have fish tacos on the menu -- gettin' crazy). It's got a great, dive-y vibe (if you like that kind of thing), with plenty of outdoor and semi-outdoor seating. Our party all opted for burgers, mostly variations of their Original Burger Basket. Nothing fancy here -- your standard burger ingredients -- but they deliver a well-executed classic burger. Very good. The half-pound patty (smaller burgers are available for the less gluttenous) was slightly pink in the middle. Accompanying fries were fairly thin, and quite good. Believe they are fried in peanut oil, which never hurts... Koppe even proved themselves in a mistake. My son's burger did not come as ordered (looks like the order-taker didn't write down a couple of details), but the staff quickly remedied the situation with cheerfulness and speed. Extra points. KB is a great place to grab a casual meal after a game or on a nice night. We'll be back...

Best burgers in town and super service! When friends from out of town come to visit, this is where we take them! True College Station restaurant!

Best dad gum sliced beef sandwich in College Station! Love the cold beer by the pitcher and the carved up tables. Always excellent quality and man sized portions.

I'm gonna full heartedly agree with Jennifer S. on this one. I promise, you won't find a better burger in the B/CS area. They are huge, plump, juicy, and with the perfect amount of sides. The cheese is just oozing off (which makes for very ladylike behavior when I lick it off my fingers). This is not a primp and proper place, so be prepared to park in the dirt drive way, sit on long benches and have the best burger in the South. Trust me, I'm a burger fanatic and I wouldn't steer you wrong on this.

Best burger in College Station. Cheap, big portions and good taste. They are how ever inconsistent with the fries and will burn them from time to time.

Koppe Bridge is a College Station must visit. Top 3. Good grill food. Laid back atomoshpere. Very reasonable prices. I usually would go with a burger or a chicken sandwich, and I was never disappointed. Took many people here and they all enjoyed it.

Excellent, excellent burger. Maybe not excellent FOR me, but it sure made my mouth happy. I got the 1/4 lb burger, at my friend's suggestion, and I'm glad I did, because apparently the "regular" burger is a frickin' 1/2 lb! Believe me, the 1/4 lb was plenty. The flavor was excellent and the fries were fresh and hot. It was a little odd eating lunch here on such a bright day, as almost no sunlight makes it into this place and it seemed pretty quiet for a Saturday afternoon. There are neon beer signs and drink specials posted everywhere so I'm sure this place is hoppin' during football season. There's also a nice looking area for live music out back. You order at the counter, so there's not really any service to speak of, but the ladies at the counter were nice enough. Overall the food has a really authentic flavor, but the inside atmosphere is awkward if you're not really into the sports bar thing. Maybe when the weather is nicer I'd go back for lunch on the patio or something.

Really, I don't know what's up with my burger-meter, but nothing really seems to be hitting the "YES!" button lately. I went to Koppe Bridge this past weekend with friends who super-heart it (we're all in Austin now) -- my hubby & I split a burger & fries since I had eaten all day (continental breakfast at Super 8 + corndog & popcorn at the stadium + brisket taco at the tailgate), and... I mean, it was more than enough for both of us (again, he doesn't eat much) -- hefty at what i'd guess was 1/2 lb? a little more than 1/3 lb? And the bacon was huge & the cheese was perfectly melted, and the mustard was the perfect ratio, and the meat was verry decent... But overall, still didn't wow me. By all means, it should have, so definitely check this place out -- my other friends swear nothing else compares to these burgers, too, and they've lived in Austin all their lives (we're all Aggies), so def check out Koppe burgers. I do have to say: The fries -- man. I am very picky about my fries, and if only these were my style, these alone would have merited 5-stars. Seriously, these are probably the first fries in my life that taste like actual potatoes. Um, in a good way -- everything else has been either "mm, fries" or "ick, fries" -- these were like, "Wow, POTATOES." I thought they were good: skinny, long-cut fries; a bit of skin here and there; bubbly texture on the outside and a bit tender on the inside -- these are not wedges by any means. But, since I'm picky, they didn't hit my spot, either. All the same -- absolutely worth checking out -- the atmosphere is totally BCS -- rundown-bar look, wood everywhere (is this thing constructed of wood? I feel like it is); the enclosed porch the 7 of us sat in so that we could all sit together (inside is primarily bar stools around round tables, or perfect domino-tables + wood chairs) had ceiling fans that didn't do much for circulating air, but it was great weather, so we didn't mind.

The burgers at Koppe are pretty darn good- enormous, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The fries were also really great. Our meal was great overall, especially for the price.

Avoid this place on game day as the service is particularly slow, mainly because their facilities can't seem to handle the crowd. Our latest experience was arriving for lunch about four hours before kickoff. We waited in line for 30 minutes just to order our food. We then waited over an hour and a half for two burgers and fries. At one point, I went to the counter and asked how much longer our order would be. I was told that we were 18 orders back, and that it would be about 40 more minutes. A properly staffed and equipped kitchen should be able to process 18 orders in far less than 40 minutes, especially when the food itself is so basic. Otherwise, the food is good enough, and there is a lot of it. Good place to go for decent, cheap food. Just don't be in a hurry.

No thank you. Quantity is the focus here, rather than quality. The burgers here are indeed massive, but I wouldn't call them "amazingly delicious" at all. They are ok, very conventional...just much, much bigger. The fries stand out here...they are greasy but if you are into fries they are some of the best in town. The wooden cowboy kitsch of the place has its appeal I suppose. The beer selection is sub-par, with mostly the usual "blech" suspects--Bud, Bud Lite, etc. Who needs this much food? Nobody, really. Good place to feed a hungry family for cheap that isn't picky about what they eat.

Pretty outstanding burgers. They are huge: you might want to plan on sharing. I always forget to order them basket-less as there are just too many fries. Super rustic indoors, with a little outdoor covered veranda-like seating area on the side. Apparently it gets crazy busy around games since it is so close to the big field where grown men bash into each other for the amusement of thousands. It was pretty calm at 5:30pm on a Thursday though. My only real complaint: they had this barbaric hunting channel on at the patio which I didn't really want my kids to watch while eating. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, and I couldn't find anyone to do so when I went in to ask.

It may look like a shack from the outside, but don't be afraid and step on in! Friendly staff, cool digs, and fun stuff is to be found. There were arcade games, pool tables, and plenty of space so no one felt cramped. The burger was kind of average but tasty nonetheless. I substituted curly fries in place of the regular and they were yummy !

Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. We are new to college station and a friend of ours recommended this place but it definitley wasnt what we hoped for. We went at around 8pm on a Friday and to our surprise it wasn't even busy at all which was a plus. My bf and I both got the koppe burger and I would have to say it was average. However though, the fries were excellent! Beware of the mustard they put on the burgers because they definitley have a heavy hand when it comes to that. The young lady who helped us was nice and recommended a few options even explaining how their burger was best in town (eventhough I didn't think it was). It wasn't a bad experience but i just wasn't satisfied when I left. My bf and I would have been much better off just going to whataburger.

For a great chicken fried steak, a true College Station environment, and a true laid back environment, this is your place. Plenty of parking and family friendly! A true Aggie gem.

Great burgers and homemade fries. Sometimes the line is backed up out the door but it's worth it!

  • Paul K.

Best burger in B/CS? No way. That'd be Grub Burger Bar. Koppe Bridge serves rather "vanilla" burgers. They are cooked properly, and the buns are decent. The fries are very good. The complaints: 1. They put way, way too much (yellow) mustard on the burgers. Ask for it with none. 2. The beer selection stinks.

    (2)
  • Rich S.

The burgers are very good. I'm a big eater so I got the half pounder. It was very tasty. We also had chips and queso. It was very good as well. The atmosphere is really nice built in an old one room feed store. Lot's of outdoor seating. Best burger that I have had in College Station.

  • André A.

I understand that a lot of people are going to disagree, but I find these burgers to be average. The meat is good, but it didn't make me want to come back. I tried someone elses burger and it wasn't just mine. The onion rings were good. If you like your food pretty mild and super American, this might be the burger for you. For me it didn't really cut it.

  • Royce B.

it does indeed have great food. However, they have a policy which is most disturbing. As I was driving, I decided to call them for a to go order. When I did, they asked me for my credit card number for payment upfront before they would place my order. In 50 years of ordering food to go, I have never had any restaurant ever ask me for that, especially for an order as inexpensive as a hamburger. I could understand wanting a prepayment for a large order, but one hamburger.? Come on. What gives? To say the least, I took my business elsewhere.

I have been coming to Koppe Bridge for years. This place serves one of the best burgers I've ever had. Definitely one of the best in the Brazos. The service is always good. The food is always made rather quickly. The atmosphere is full of so much local color, you can't mistake it for anywhere else but Koppe Bridge in College Station, Texas. I love coming here for the food, but the atmosphere also really keeps you coming back. The Burgers are amazing! Perfectly sized, perfectly cooked, and so much flavor, despite it's generic make. This burger may look no different than others, however it's unique in it's great quality. I personally like it with nothing more Meat, Cheddar Cheese, and Mustard. It is good regardless of the way you get it. The fries are always delicious. The Koppe Bridge fries are some of my favorite ANYWHERE. I can compare their flavor to In-N-Out Burger's fries (minus the Animal Style). They are a little greasy, but that adds so much to the flavor. Other than the main attractions, there are some appetizers. The Texas Toothpicks are awesome and pair great with their creamy ranch (so do the fries). Koppe Bridge also has several TVs, Pool Tables, and Vintage Arcade games for entertainment. Additionally, there is outdoor and porch seating available. These seats are especially pleasant on a nice Sunday Afternoon. If you are ever in College Station this place is a MUST! Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Overall: 5/5

It really disappointed me, not gonna lie. I haven't been back since I tried it at first, but I was told they have the best burger... I got it and it tasted mediocre, like a burger I could have made at home, straight down to the iceberg lettuce on top. I did however enjoy the sautéed mushrooms and onions I added to the top. My friend got the margarita and seemed to enjoy it, but all around I wasn't impressed. The atmosphere was ok, but the floors were waved and I felt like I cold fall through them.

Great local haunt with super burgers and chicken fried... popular for good reason. If you love a classic Texas style burger and fries, this is the place. Great atmosphere and nice service staff.

This was my second visit to Koppe Bridge and I was glad to find out I wasn't just glorifying my past experience. I'm giving Koppe Bridge 5 stars because I love the simplicity of it. I admit to visiting the fairly new (to me) burger bar in CS and liking it quite a bit, but at the end of the day, nothing beats a simple burger and fries with your standard lettuce, tomato and onion toppings. At Koppe Bridge you can definitely add on some fixins like sauerkraut or grilled mushrooms, but I stick to the original (1/4 pound version though). Oh and this time, to make it more indulgent, we had some kind of cheesey curly fry concoction that was very naughty, but hit the spot.

Big bad delicious greasy burgers & chicken fried steak sandwiches! The fries are greasy shoestring fries & not worth the calories!!!

  • Jimmy H.

Their burgers are pretty big and delicious. Lots of toppings to choose from too. The fish tacos were amazing--possibly the best fish tacos I've ever had. The Philly cheese steak I had was a bit on the dry side, so order with caution. One of my friends ordered the chicken-fried steak the first time we went and it was massive--really really wide across and still decently thick. We ordered chips and salsa once, and the salsa was extremely watered down for some reason, almost to the point that it might've been a fluke; it was that gross. Still, I always hesitate to order it again or recommend it to a friend. The location is alright, kinda far from campus, but it's worth the drive. The decor inside is alright. Everything this is made of wood since I guess it was renovated from an old cabin, so it might look kinda lame. IMO, it seems pretty standard for a Texan bar & grill. Several TVs around, so it gets busy around game times. You order at the counter when you enter, then they call your order and you go pick it up at the window, so can't say anything about service. We chatted with the guy at the window while we waited for our food to come out, and he was pretty nice and cool.

Been here several times and I think they have the best burgers in b/cs. Way better than grub burger in my opinion. It has that homemade, nothing too fancy, just good food feel to it. You definitely need to try it!

FOOD: This place is exactly what you want for good food at a random shack-like place in the middle of nowhere. Voted one of the top 10 burger joints in Texas in 2009. We got their famous cheese burger basket and their (according to them) second most popular grilled chicken burger basket. Cheeseburger: reminded me of a sonic burger (mainly because of the mustard and pickles), except more gourmet and not as sloppy. Quality of meat is fresh and juicy, although thin. I'm a thin-bun girl, so it was a little thick for me. Chicken Sandwich: very well-marinated and surprisingly NOT overdone, which is very rare to find. Swiss cheese perfectly melted on top, but there was a little too much mayo for my liking. Fries were good - long, thin, but could have used a little more crispiness. They give you a lot too (hence, the "basket"). ATMOSPHERE: Reminds me of a big spacious rustic wooden honkytonk - but nonetheless really comfortable. Pool tables are also in the back if you want to just chill. Outside seating on a patio is also available.

I think this shows the true power of Yelp. It was based only on Yelp reviews that we decided to go by here today. Just uploaded a whole slew of photos as well. This is one of the best burgers I have ever had, and it is most certainly the best ever in Brazos valley. Aside from Yelp reviews, they have awards on the wall for "Best Burger in Bryan / College Station in 2002, 2004 and 2006, if memory serves me correctly. As far as what it looks like outside and inside, just reference the photos. It's rustic and cute. We noticed a lot of families there at 4pm and everyone appeared to be locals. When walking in we seated ourselves and sat there for a few minutes a little confused before reading the sign that says to order at the counter. My wife had a brisket sandwich which was ready in just a few minutes. My burger (I added bacon and cheddar with jalapenos on the side), was ready in about 10-15 minutes. I was getting annoyed as she was half way done by the time my food arrived, but we some how let some other people get in line in between us, so no biggie. The burger was a 1/2 pound and was just totally excellent, as you can no doubt see by the look on my face. And I finished every bite of it. Wonderful quality beef cooked through perfectly, fresh fluffy cloud like bun, that was toasted on the downside with butter (like I do my own). Cheese was real and rich, bacon was actually thick sliced and I dare say I think they smoked it there. The bacon had the same smoke flavor as my wife's brisket. And get this. The jalapenos were GRILLED!!!! AMEN to that! Any burger place that would take the attention to grilling a jalapeno is an award winner in my book. I've only seen that done at very high end places in the past. Because that is some major attention to detail, and it shows a burger by design with every aspect being catered to. So I can confirm that the Chamber of Commerce awards and the claims here on Yelp, that this is the best burger in Brazos valley, are true and accurate. Thanks ya'll for sharing. We will eat here again. Cool vintage video games too!

I Googled "Monday night specials in College Station" when looking for a place to eat last night, and several website listed Koppe Bridge as having 35 cent wings on Mondays. NOPE. The girls at the counter informed us that they didn't have those specials, although they have people ask about it all the time, and we weren't the first person to ask for it that night. Uh, if you have people asking about it all of the time don't you think you'd ask the websites to update the info? They are not old sites, I'm sure you can contact the webmasters. We left and got some Chinese instead. It seems that every trip out to Koppe Bridge is a waste of gas.

Yes, this place is a full bar, but everyone there when I visited was having something to eat. The vast majority were enjoying one of their famous burgers. The burgers here are delicious, but I found them just a little unwieldy. Messy burgers, in my opinion, come in two types. There is the "Oh my, this is so good, I need to hold it together!" type, and the "Arrggghh! This totally sucks!" type. The burger here falls into the first category. The fries here are thin cut from unpeeled potatoes and are cooked to a light crispiness. A great place to stop and have a burger and a beer.

Ordered a 1/4 lb burger basket with grilled onions and bacon and fried pickle spears. I was in a group of 4 and when our food was ready, my fries were lukewarm. Yuck. The fried pickles were good, but not quite hooter's. The burger was just alright and they forgot to put grill the onions. My friends chicken fried steak was huge and he said it was only a half order. If you're a hungry guy, get the 1/2 lb burger basket. Minor things: You cant order the burger alone, but you can substitute fries for coleslaw and some other unappetizing sides. P.A. system is bad and it's hard to hear what names they are calling. Very attractive bartender. I don't think I'll be coming back.

The kids and I wanted wings for dinner but were bored with the usual wing joints in town. We decided to get them at Koppe Bridge instead. Their wings are unlike the ones you find at Wings N More, BWW, Wingstop, and Wolfies. They are breaded, fried, and served with the sauce in a container for dipping (along with blue cheese dressing). The wings are plump and meaty and the wing sauce had just enough of a kick to keep you dipping those wings in it. They were fantastic, and it's going to be tough to order a burger the next time I visit!

Burger was hearty and delicious, and the texas toothpics were good too. Prices are very fair for the large portions you get. The atmosphere is comfortable and includes TVs, pool tables and arcade games.

Definitely worth trying if you are in CS - a very good burger joint/bar. Nothing fancy (looks like a rundown shack) but the Burger Basket is what you are there for. The beef tastes freshly ground, the buns are also good, and the fries delish. There are a number of addons (grilled mushrooms, etc.) to custom your burger, too. Great place.

Koppe Bridge is the place to be. I'm a big burger eater and love to sample different types and kinds in my travels around the US. Koppe Bridge has some outstanding burgers, hands down. Better yet, they have something for my non-red meat eating wife (fried catfish, which she enjoyed very much!). My bro-in-law had the chicken wings and those were incredibly tempting too. But who are we kidding, when you come to Koppes, the burgers are king. Incredibly fresh ingredients, balanced perfectly. The toppings were fresh and tasty. I love how they slather mustard on the burger and the buns were fresh and soft, yet still held together through the whole epic journey. I ordered my burger basket with american cheese and grilled onions. Looking back, I wish I also got bacon but that applies to most moments in my life. For those of you SoCal yelpers, this burger reminded me - taste-wise of a GIANT Animal Style burger (with the mustard, cheese, and grilled onions), yet even fresher and larger. Bonus points, this place has a great Texas atmosphere, Cherry Pepsi on tap, and the girl working the counter couldn't believe that I remembered the year 1990 (which is the current year cut off for the drinking age, yikes! im old!). Koppe, can't wait till I'm back in Texas!

  • Elaine O.

We knew this place had won awards for burgers, so purely in the interest of providing our fellow yelpers with more details, we had the baja fish tacos and a Philly cheese sandwich. The Philly cheese was very tasty and stuffed with meat and toppings and was accompanied by fries. The baja tacos could be ordered with grilled or fried fish. Feeling nutritionally superior to my Philly cheese scarfing companion, i ordered the grilled fish. I am so glad I did, it was moist, flavorful and the soft taco was full to bursting. 90% of the soft taco was filled with fish, the whole thing was delicious and tasty and the accompanying tortilla chips were very light and non greasy. There is nothing fancy about this bar and grill, just great food at good prices, the five stars are for a fish taco that surely cannot be bettered anywhere in Texas.

Some of the best burgers EVER! They are always consistently yummy and juicy. Fries aren't bad either with a great, relaxed atmosphere. Love this place and miss it desperately since I left Aggieland a few years back.

Really cool setup for a hamburger place. They didn't skimp on the quality even though it was really busy.

  • Shah S.

100% agree with the other reviews. This place has awesome burgers! They serve 1/2 pound burgers with fries and all the fixings that you want. It's a pretty large place and so can be good for groups. It is self-service - you order at the counter and pick up your own food. They have bud & miller on tap and a frozen margarita machine.

  • Hungry G.

I love this place. Great atmosphere. Very Texas. Great burgers and fries. I like their pickle spears also! The best thing in my opinion is the patty melt, it's so good! I have also had the new philly cheesesteak which was just ok. Stick with the patty melt.

    (4)
  • Ryan B.

Having now experienced Stover Bros and Grub, I can't say I would come back here for burgers. The fried pickle spears are still great, but the burgers are disappointingly thin and well done, so the burger itself is more about the toppings...and these toppings are not anything to write home about. If I end up here again I'll be trying something else on the menu, like the fish tacos...anything but the lackluster burgers.

    (3)
  • Joyce A.

Best burger in Texas. Love their fried pickle spears. The quality at the Harvey location is definitely lower than the Wellborne location. I would only go to the Wellborne location.

This is definitive of Cstat. The wood, old country 1800's saloon look, and the burgers and fried stuff. I enjoyed my first fried pickle experience here and always ate to the brim each time I came here for a good ole Cstat burger experience.

  • Aaron S.

A Google search on a rainy night for the best chicken fried steak College Station has to offer brought me here about two months ago. If you're going to the location on Wellborne, be aware that the parking lot is the unconventional "dirt and rocks" type and that you'll want to be careful where you put your feet when you get back in the car! The atmosphere was really neat, posing as a small-town bar/grill with country music, beer signs, and low lighting. I ordered onion rings as an appetizer to split with one other person, and a large chicken fried steak with fries as my entree (healthy, I know!). When I went up to go ask for a plate for the onion rings, both the girl at the front and two of the cooks in the back looked at me like they didn't know what a plate was. Once I made it clear that I really wanted it so that me and the person I came with could put ketchup somewhere, they just gave me two little containers for ketchup. When the chicken fried steak came, it was HUGE. I can honestly say the large chicken fried steak is more than enough for any person, hungry or not (go for the small!). Unfortunately, I must admit that I was a little disappointed, but that may be just because I expected "The Best Chicken Fried Steak in the Brazos Valley" (indirect quote). The fries were good, and the food didn't take too long, though. In short, despite somewhat difficult employees and a lackluster chicken fried steak, this place has a neat atmosphere and will definitely fill you up. Give it a try.

Awesome burger, made to order. Good size patty, cooked to medium rare (and really medium rare, not medium). Plenty of toppings options. Service is a little lousy but you're really just interacting with staff for the ordering part. A few TVs scattered in the corners of the room so not a prime place to watch a sports game but not bad either. Oh yea, random but restrooms were old and didn't feel clean.

    (5)
  • Angus P.

Excellent burgers... I always get the patty melt. Also, their chili is some of the best I've ever had. It's true Texas chili, all meat no filler. Not the best burger place ever, but pretty close. Gig em!

After a two week trip through Berkeley (the lack of red meat there makes me cry) me and the GF decided that before going home from the airport....we were stopping by Koppe for some fantastic burger time. That's right - after a long day of riding trains, planes, and the inevitable automobile....we said screw comfy couches and a nice hot shower I want some burgers. They are so much better than I can put into words. It's worth the drive....it's worth the heartache (and impending attack).....and it's totally worth the measly 7 bucks or whatever it is for a burger and fries.

Lousy food, lousy service, and poor management!! Too disgusted to even write a review! Just be warned if you decide to give this place a try, bring some extra cash cause you might be eating somewhere else after you leave here.

I have a request. In order to get the full effect of this review go to your DVD player and put in a copy of your favorite Clint Eastwood Western. Thank you. Now that the mood is set, I can tell you how great Koppe Bridge really is. Once you finish parking in the gravel lot, you walk up a set of rickety steps that look as if they must have been a former stage set on a Clint Eastood Western. This is an order at the counter place which really lends itself to bringing a large group. I recommend the fried pickle spears. I've been trying to eat healthier lately (operative word being "trying") but I absolutely cannot live without fried pickles. There is just something about the crunchy breading and then that sour inside that makes this the perfect food. Several restaurants in the area offer fried pickles but what sets Koppe Bridge apart is that they serve them in spear form rather than chip. I can't decide which I like best, but they are distinctive. As for the star of the show, the burgers are beyond compare in College Station. They are big, juicy, and prepared perfectly. Koppe Bridge has this down to an art. Don't even think about ordering anything else your first time at Koppe Bridge. This is what they do. You may go back to your Clint Eastwood film now. And then head to Koppe Bridge. The Verdict: Go for the Burger. Leave with a to-go box.

This place is what Texas is all about! You will not walk away hungry and that's a guarantee! The atmosphere is awesome, price is AWESOME! Food is GREAT! Combine quality and quantity. So much toppings... your gonna get messy - ya know its gonna be good this way! Am I going back? Yeah that's a given. If you are in the BCS area even for a few hours... you must stop here.

You will see a lot of fat people here... ...but that should not deter you!! Seriously the best burgers in town (and most of Texas). I'm just sad I discovered it in my last year living in CS (out of 6 years). The place is a bit further out (may take more than 10 minutes to drive there *gasp*) and hidden in the trees, but once you find it and order an Original juicy burger with awesome fries, you'll know it was a worthy trip. The place is rustic and very Texan without trying too hard (think Texas Roadhouse). They have billiards and games in the back and what seems like a nice porch area to enjoy your food outside (the weather was always too hot for us). The food, as I said, is the best. The burger is flavorful and juicy and extra good with grilled onions. Most burger places never season their patties enough, but Koppe doesn't skimp on the flavor. The fries are the right balance of crispy and soft and are just YUM. Everything takes about 10-15 minutes to prepare. Go. Just go.

Tasty burgers - the bread tastes generic but it doesn't matter because the flavorful meat and the thick slice of american cheese owns this burger. The fries are fresh tasting and have skin on them. It is very dark even during bright sunny days because there are very few windows. You eat in the blue neon glow omitted from the beer signs. Has two pool tables in the back room and a massive outdoor drinking area that has a small stage.

The burgers at Koppe Bridge may be overrated, but they are quite tasty. I prefer the chicken fried steak which is among the best I've eaten in BCS. The atmosphere at KB is really laid back, and it's a good place to unwind for lunch after a morning of draining classes.

This place is in a random stretch of road that is a decent distance away from the Texas A&M main campus, so those who are living on campus might be shy'd away from coming to this place. The building itself is a old fashioned style shack which adds to its atmosphere. The food is really good, I had ordered the chicken fried steak which tasted amazing even though Koppe Bridge isn't known for it. Their burgers on the other hand are wicked sick. I pretty much inhaled mine (but i was starving at the time). The place is also a bar with the average stocks of brands of alcohol, but since I wasn't 21 at the time of review; I cannot say much. If you're in the area then definitely come check this place out. But if you're on campus then, check out Stover Boys instead.

Great burgers, probably the best in town. The fries are equally good. It's definitely not a fancy place, but what the heck, you're just there for a burger. Good service at the walk up counter, and pool if you are so inclined. One of my faves in BCS. Only downsides of this location compared to the Hwy 40 one are the gravel parking lot and more college kiddos.

A lot of people rave about a subpar fatty burger... Make one at home and save some money or try Harvey washbangers in town. Far better burger.

My burger was good. Everything else was extremely greasy. Get the chili. I dare you. It's so greasy there's a good inch of clear fat. If you need something to clog up your pipes then, by all means, eat here. The sandwich my wife ordered was swimming in so much grease that the bun was mush. She went to the counter to ask for something else, and the manager was rude to her, exclaiming that such sandwiches are supposed to be that greasy. Uh, no. We will never set foot in this place again due to the rude attitude and lack of understanding in how to cook something without a side of grease.

When moving to CStat this is the place that was recommended by most people in town. We went and had a burger and chicken fried steak...and it was just okay. The service was so slow and there were only a few people there. If you're looking for mediocre food and a laid back bar feel then this is your place. Not sure we will be making a second trip to try anything else.

Good burger. A-OK. Not much more to say. I understand it's a local favorite and packed. I liked it - but there's much better in CS.

Locals rave over this place, but I can't quite figure out why. The burgers are fine, but nothing particularly amazing. The fries are thin, limp and greasy and come as a "basket" with the burgers, so, if you want onion rings, you'll need to place a separate order for those and then find a way to deal with the crappy fries that are going to come in your basket anyway. If you're looking for really good burgers and fat, crispy fries, check out Chicken Oil in Bryan, instead. Oh, and someone down below...Brad, maybe?...is right. Super long waits for mediocre grub. Bleh.

I give the Koppe Bridge a 4 star rating mostly based on ambience. I found the burger to be better than average, but certainly not in the Texas Top 10 as stated in the entrance. One thing that was off putting was the 45 minute wait to get our order even though the place was not that crowded.

I miss Koppe Bridge SO MUCH since I moved up to the DFW area. It's so hard to find a decent burger and Koppe Bridge has always been my favorite. The fries are great, the burgers so juicy and messy; it's PERFECT! This is the best joint to hit up for quick, delicious food and is just over all fun to be at! Come up to the DFW Koppe, I miss you!!!

Give it a try! Sometime they get really really busy. Not a gourmet food joint, but decent burger/fingers/toothpick, etc. Kind of the selection of food you might have at a bar at Northgate. So expect that kind of ambiance too.

Wait in a long line of mostly students and order at the counter. Wooden tables, margarita machine, and people-watching. Known for its burger baskets, but I was more into the new menu item Baja Fish Tacos, which was really like a perfect-for-a-hungry-girl-size wrap sandwich with perfectly crispy fried moist fish and creamy ranch-like sauce. Tex-Mex Baja, I think.

Koppe Bridge is a great place to grab a burger and relax with friends. It has a rustic and relaxed atmosphere. Lots of old signs on the wood walls, and sports on the T.Vs. The food is great and I would recommend it to someone for a casual lunch or dinner.

Love the onion rings!! But their chicken fingers need some improvement.

The burger was average at best, the fries were ok. Line was out the door both times I've been there. Popular with the "college kids and their parents crowd" on weekends. Never go on a game weekend. Basically this place is loud, busy, and has long waits for mediocre food and drinks (no servers, you have to stand in line every time you want another beer)- and the waits can be longer than a half hour. Skip it, there are better places in town.

This place has the best burgers I've gotten so far in Cstat. And it also has the most amazing chili cheese fries I've ever had. My only complaint is the line was long with only 2 cashiers working, but it was Alabama game weekend, so I imagine it was like this everywhere. 10/10.

I've been here twice since moving to College Station, and can't say I'm impressed. Everyone raves about the amazing and tasty hamburgers and I have to say during both visits my hamburger was nothing more than average. I recently went on a saturday with 2 other tables seated and it took almost 35 minutes to get our food. By the time we received our order the burger and fries were cold. The staff was standing around gossiping at the front while I went table to table trying to find a bottle of ketchup that wasn't empty. My friends here say Koppe Bridge use to be the best place around for food and the late night atmosphere but it looks like it's gone down hill in recent years. With more attention to detail, and an increase in production this could be a great place.

A classic burger spot in College Station. This trip is just as good as the hundreds of other visits through the years. The weather was great so sat on the porch for lunch nestled among the cedar trees with This trip we had burgers and a patty melt and the classic chicken fried steak. Unless you have a bottomless stomach the small is plenty big taking up the entire plate with delicious country gravy. It doesn't get much better than this. The burgers are not to greasy and always tasty. You can't miss at this spot.

This place looks like a shack from the outside, but don't let that deter you. As is often the case with places like this, the food and service are phenomenal. They claimed to have an award winning burger, and I'd have to agree. Definitely one of the best I've had.

After all the hype...disappointed. The burger was bland and had enough mustard for six burgers. It literally dripped into a puddle while I ate. I paid extra for onion rings which were cold and bland. Service was quick and friendly staff. I just wish a place that was voted best burger for the last 5 years would have lived up to the award.

There are times when I like fried food. I go out and I search for it. Those times are rare and far between, but I am definitely not adverse to having some good beer battered onion rings. Ordered the fried pickles (why not?) with onion rings and a grilled cheese. Nothing stood out in the meal, and everything was fried with, what appeared to be too-cold-oil, as it all turned out super greasy and slightly mushy. The 1 star is solely for the fact that they do have 'vegetarian' options, i.e. the fried food listed above, for the times when you take your meat-eating family and friends out for burgers.

This place has the best burgers in college station. They have what I would call home style burgers. The meat is of great quality, cooked perfectly and moist. The bun was fantastic, buttery and very well toasted. The ingredients they put on there burgers are great. I personally love the original half pound burger with bacon and cheddar. They use ample amounts of bacon which is very crispy. I forgot to mention they have fantastic fries to go along with it. The chicken fried steak is also some of the best I've ever had. The large is literally the size of your head. Very crispy and meaty. The texas toothpick is a great app. They really know how to fry rings and jalepeno say this place. This place is very rustic and awesome place to hang with friends. Try this place out.

All American Burger...the patty is cooked perfectly, juicy and tasty. Onion rings is a knock out. I like the ambiance, a nice place to hang out and satisfy burger cravings

Always great burgers!! The place to go if your craving a burger! The chicken fried steak is also amazing and the size of full plate! Fried pickle spears are another favorite of mine of here!! Only reason I'm giving a 4 star is because you pay extra for cheese, ranch, sauces etc. for your burger and fries!

Really enjoy the Texas toothpicks and the burgers are consistently good. Not sure if they are 'the best in Brazos Valley' as they boast, but worth mentioning in the conversation.

Great food, great price! Definitely going to visit this hidden gem every time I come to College Station. I ordered a large chicken fried steak. It was not only enough to feed the masses, it was delicious. We had an order of fried pickle spears as well. Another person in our party had a sliced brisket sandwich and said it was awesome! Looking forward to trying other things next time...

To be completely honest I was very skeptical going into this restaurant after being recommended by a friend. I almost tripped while going inside due to the uneven steps. It was a bit shady on the inside so after I ordered I awaited my burger with a bit of skepticism. But after I got my burger, oh boy was glad I was here. This place has got to be one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The meat was so juicy and warm. The burger practically fell apart in my mouth and the minimal toppings made the burger stand out so much more. A must eat place if you're looking for some wholesome American food.

Went there for dinner on a Wednesday night and I ordered the catfish basket. It was probably one of the most vile pieces of catfish I have ever tasted. Could not eat it at all. I would have given them 1 star if it weren't for the fact that I have had their burgers and those are pretty delicious and filling. From now on the only thing I will order from there if I go back will be their burgers.
